In Central Illinois where Brian grew up, he never had to strain too hard to hear REAL country music. As Brian says, ‘It was just part of the soundtrack of your youth.” Bitten hard by the music bug, Brian joined the University of Illinois music program where the skills refined there took him to Nashville and to much work as a session player.  His reputation spread, leading to performances with Allison Krauss, Pam Tillis, Lorrie Morgan and others. In addition, Brian has performed with Grand Ole Opry star Jeanne Pruett, appeared on “Nashville Now” and led that band on a national television telethon in L.A.  Currently Brian is an in-demand session player in Chicago, performing with local favorites singer-songwriter Robby Fulks, mandolin maestro Don Stiernberg, Grammy-nominated Special Consensus Bluegrass Band, and honky tonk hard guys The Hoyle Brothers.
