Growing up Northeastern Wisconsin, he only heard the music of the 1950’s and 60’s because his father never changed the radio station from the “Oldies” channel, His Grandfather played a pivotal role in his life by introducing him to the music of Hank Williams.

Based in Chicago, he has played with Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats), Larry Collins (Collins Kids), Marti Brom, Johnny Powers (Sun Records, Motown), Narvel Felts (Sun Records), Sleepy Labeef, Huelyn Duvall (Challenger Records), Marcel Bontempi, Don Maddox (Maddox Brothers and Rose) and sat in with Rosie Flores, Brazil Billy, and Charlie Louvin (Louvin Brothers). He has also played bass for the musicals Million Dollar Quartet and Hank Williams: Lost Highway.

In addition to the Hank Band, he currently plays with Bailey Dee and the Late Nite Bait, Chris Casello and the Corsairs, and the Chris Casello Trio.
